Step 3: Schedule your Interview Appointment

Applicants selected for an interview will be notified via email or phone by July 31, 2015.
Please be aware that due to budgetary and organizational constraints,  we are sometimes limited in the subjects we have openings for.

Step 4: Prepare

Read the article titled "2nd Interview Article", available at the bottom of this page.  Come to your interview prepared to discuss it.  You will also need to bring a copy of your unofficial transcript (available from myLonestar), your original social security card or alternate evidence of employment eligibility (no copies, please), and your driver's license or state ID.

Step 5: Interview
The interview lasts roughly one hour, and consists of two parts.  The first part is a character interview; please bring a copy of your unofficial transcript (available from myLonestar). A résumé/CV/letter of recommendation is not necessary but we'll consider one if you bring it.  The second part is a more detailed interview. There is a journal article that you are expected to read before the interview - you can download it as a PDF by clicking here. Almost all of the questions in this section of the interview will be about your thoughts and responses to the material, so please do not neglect to read it.  All interviews are held in PAC 200, the Learning Center.
Final leader positions are selected from the interview pool based on employment eligibility, interview performance, scheduling, professor preference, and budget.  All offers of employment will be sent via email and/or mail. Occasionally a well-qualified applicant must be turned away, but we encourage applicants to re-apply in future semesters.
